Kimarge West Salon

I wasnt expecting much when I walked up to a very small creepy building in the middle of a questionable neighborhood. She never picks up the phone, even when I was lost and early for my appointment. Most of my experience was spent gossiping about things when I was trying to do some work...I'm sorry but I dont care to hear about the drama of your salon. It took 5 hours for a 2 hour job..and while the cut was pretty good, the highlights were subpar and have left me with a brassy re-growth, and I'm a blonde, which is sad to say, not ok. The blow-out was even worse...I came home from a salon that I had just spent a good amount of money at, and threw my hair up in a pony tail because I was so upset with it. I would give NO STARS if I had the opportunity.

Kimberly was a gem. I went in with a very descriptive idea of what I wanted since I was only paying $28, and she was very receptive in following through. The salon itself is not in the most appealing building, but I felt very taken care of and pampered. I would definitely go back to her again.

The process took a long time and my hair didint look much different than when I came in...... so it was defenitely not what I expected but they were pretty nice and I could tell she felt bad about it.

The staff are warm and friendly but I didn't think my haircut was anything special but then I came home and restyled my hair and it looked ten times better afterwards. For cuts I give them 3.5 out 5 but for styling just a 3.

Very nice folks, but I did leave with hair all over me, despite a double rinse. That said, I think the haircut is pretty good, but neither the atmosphere nor the service quite up to other salons in this price range.

I enjoyed my experience here at Kimarge...once I got there. Its a small warehouse on Venice near the entrance of the 10 freeway. The building is purple, with a large K and the inside is cute. They really made good use of the space. My trim was with Alexis who I will definitely recommend again because she really takes the time to make sure you are comfortable, and listens to what you want to your hair. I also appreciated how she didn't push products or tell me "what I needed". She took what I was looking for and trimmed my hair, filling me in on what she was doing the whole time and gave it life again. I was really happy with my results and hope to make a stop soon.
