When I arrived for my 11am appointment, the salon was closed. I called and left a message. I waited another 15 minutes, called again and someone answered at their other location. They said they would call me back. Another 20 minutes went by, they finally called me back to let me know someone could meet me there at noon to do the treatment. The stylist arrived a few minutes late. The treatment went well. I'm not thrilled with the results, but my hair is less frizzy. They made up for the booking confusion by giving me free shampoon and conditioner. Overall, I don't think this salon is the most professionally run place, but I chalked it up to getting what I paid for. In no way would I have paid the full amount for this treatment at this salon, but $120 seemed like a pretty good deal. They seem like they have to get their act together. Friendly enough, but again, not well run.

The cut and blowdry were good, cant complain...although the salon is in a little house thing that could definitely use some TLC!!! Shame because with a coat of fresh paint and some new curtains the place could be cute, its just a little run down and doesnt feel like a salon at all.

On a whim, I scheduled an appointment for highlights/lowlights at Kimarge Salon. On the day of the appointment I got a phone call from Kimberley saying that the stylist I was meant to meet with couldn't make it and if I could reschedule. It was the only time I had available, so she booked another stylist instead. The experience itself was tedious: the salon is in a converted house and really dirty/unkempt. The process itself took over 2.5 hours! I have been getting my hair colored for over 6 years and it has never taken this long before. I mentioned that I needed to leave rather soon and she told me that she wouldn't have time to do "toning" to take the yellow out of it. My lowlights are orange and the highlights are chunky and sloppy and don't match my previous color at all. Parts of my head (above my ears mostly) that I thankfully can cover actually look like I'm balding. I have tried to call the salon and book a time for them to fix the mistakes but haven't yet heard back. As of now, I am obviously not happy with their work. The stylist told me she would do the "toning" treatment for free or fix anything because I think she could tell by the end that it was not a good job.
