For balayage, your stylist will artfully paint natural-looking highlights (with no foil), starting at the root or a few inches below. (Translation: When your natural color creeps in, it seamlessly blends.) Ombre highlights—which look great on Alexa Chung—go from dark at the top to lighter at the bottom, giving you trendy locks and freedom from root touch-ups. A salon-perfect blowout seals the deal.
